Our Story

Aness Design Works (Aness Natarupa Semesta) is an independent design practice that operates across architecture, interior, and visual media. We serve clients across the public and private sectors with end-to-end design strategies—from research and ideation to execution and storytelling.

Our work is known for its balance between conceptual clarity and grounded execution. At the core of our practice is a sense of structured curiosity—we explore not only what makes something look good, but what makes it necessary, usable, and emotionally intelligent.

Founded by Nabil Sabirin, an interior architect with a background in visual arts and film, Aness Design Works began as a solo studio rooted in experimentation. Since 2021, it has evolved into a collaborative practice involving talents across Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya.

Today, Aness Design Works operates as a lean and adaptive team—delivering interior and architectural design, branded spatial experiences, and creative direction for clients who value depth and integrity in design. We’re not here to follow trends—we’re here to ask better questions.

Our Philosophy

We believe in design that’s thoughtful, contextual, and quietly bold. Every space should be intuitive to use, honest in material, and rooted in its surroundings. We start with curiosity—but finish with clarity, empathy, and execution.
